Hi
I sent the stuff below in response to Yael (about Open
Source firms) but later I thought it may also be of
interest for the rest of the group.

Cheers,
Reha

PS:

Hi,

Stuttgart Region in south Germany is home to more than
Open Source companies.
Here you may find a list of firms with their
respective activites (unfortunely only in German):
http://opensource.region-stuttgart.de/index.php?main=1

Plus, the regional economic development company has a
broad campaign to support Open Source based
businesses.The campaign website is:
http://opensource.region-stuttgart.de/index.php

They opened up a Open SOurce Solutions center in the
region:
http://www.open-source-loesungspark.de/

And finally they have a Linux Desktop online demo
centre (now in English):
http://opensource.region-stuttgart.de/index.php?main=8&sub=8_0

Today is a busy day, so I can only write this much but
do contact me if you need more information.

All the best,

Reha
