Thanks for your reply. Currently, the ERP software is sold under proprietary
license, but the company is testing the water to see if there are any takers if
it were to be released under dual licensing model.

A large part of compiere is still client-server (java thick client), instead of
using pure web-based architecture. Compiere is sponsored by Oracle, portability
to other databases are not 100% yet.

Wavelet EMP uses EJB (Bean Managed Persistence), PostgreSQL, JBoss etc. Wavelet
EMP uses a different concept (Enterprise Management Portal rather than
ERP/CRM). Wavelet EMP's focuses on chainstore and franchises.

There are many more differentiating factors, to avoid other readers in the
mailing list getting bored, lets discuss offline ;-).
