I also agree with andrew on his suggestions and his congratulation :-)
But I wouldn't mind either if we discarded the reseracher directory. I 
also never contacted one through this, but wrote to specific authors of 
a paper.
The usefulness of the site would greatly increase with an 
auto-submission process which does not depend on Karim's busy teaching 
schedule. Probably the first submission creates an account which has to 
be manually granted to prevent spam and unsuitable papers and automatic, 
instant submission through pre-existing accounts?
