The Open Source world shows how volunteer collaboration can lead to=20 great products and to great learning. We want to further explore at this=20 workshop what happens using approaches from that community to break=20 barriers between teachers and learners for today's Internet-savvy young=20 people to design and co-construct sites for participatory learning. The aim of this workshop is to explore the barriers for this type of=20 learning in higher education settings. Content creation, knowledge=20 exchange, community dynamics, and the impact on the boundary between=20 formal and informal education are key subjects of this workshop! The *CALL FOR PAPERS AND CONTRIBUTIONS* is now open and we would like to=20 ask you to express your intents to submit a paper / contribution until=20 *15th of February 2009* by mail to [email protected] The workshop will allow for both, paper presentations and tutorials,=20 panels or demonstrations within the three envisaged Knowledge Caf=E9 sess= ions.
