WHAT=92S NEW Robert L. Park Friday, 12 July 2013 Washington, DC 1. WHERE IS BOB? I AM RECOVERING FROM APHASIA. Aphasia is a disorder caused by damage to the parts of the brain that=20 control language. It has made it difficult for me to read, write, and say= =20 what I mean to say. My aphasia resulted from a hemorrhagic stroke on Marc= h=20 17, 2013. My wife quickly got me to MedStar Washington Hospital Center fo= r=20 treatment and to MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital to recover. Man= y=20 wonderful people are helping me, but recovery is a long process. I am=20= optimistic that I will resume writing What=92s New. 2. WHY? MOST PEOPLE ARE RETIRED AT MY AGE The public is often misled by reports in the media and unaware of it.=20 THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND.
