Dear Orocos Community, I am member of a Dutch RoboCup Mid-size league team. My team has a team of mobile robots. Each robot has the size of a vacuum cleaner and must have all sensors on the robot. The challenge is too play autonomously soccer against another team (see www.robocup.org for more info). Our current robots are end of life (after 4 years of competion). We are developing a new mobile robot. First we create a simple driving platform with omni-wheels and an omni-vision camera, later we would like to add more complex mechanisms. We are serious considering using Orocos (on Ubuntu with RTAI). The added value for using a framework as Orocos is very clear. I have some questions: *Integrate Development Environment: *Is it possible to import Orocos in an IDE as KDevelop or Eclipse? *Other Frameworks* Can Orocos easily be combined with another framework like Marie or MIRO? Has somebody experience with one of these frameworks? *Simulation* For developing soccer behavior it is a must to simulate the game. Team behavior can easier be tested in simulation than in real. It this kind of simulation possible in Orocos or is it better to use a separate simulation environment like Player/Stage? Suggestions or remarks are very welcome. With best regards, Jürge van Eijck _______________________________________________ Orocos mailing list [email protected] http://lists.mech.kuleuven.be/mailman/listinfo/orocos
