The Control Kernel GUI allows you to connect to a running control kernel from
a remote pc (over a network), and shows you graphically in what state you
are, what components are active,...

Anyway, the 0.24 release is the last release featuring the Control Kernel
infrastructure. Hence, if you're starting with Orocos you should _not_ (!)
use the Control Kernel, nor the GUI, but use TaskContext instead, and the
TaskBrowser. Most functionality of the GUI is present in the TaskBrowser. A
graphical version of the TaskBrowser will be available in some weeks.

Documentation on the TaskContext can be found on
<http://www.orocos.org/cvs_status.html>.
