Second Orocos meeting: Pisa, February 3, 2002

Dear Orocos enthusiasts,

The second Orocos meeting will take place right after the
EURON annual meeting, i.e., on Sunday February 3 2002, in Pisa.

We have a meeting room for a full day (8:30-17:30) at the Scuola
Superiore Sant'Anna (piazza Martiri della Libertà, 33). I am very
thankful to Paolo Dario for his hospitality, and for the splendid
cooperation of his secretary.

The program will be as follows: the four current focus points
(middleware; motion control; task specification and supervision;
kinematics and dynamics) will present their core component design,
whose implementation issues will be discussed. We should also
decide upon a common terminology, coding style, and about which
features will be ``version 1.0'' and which other features will be
``version 2.0'' :-)

As for the first meeting, the Orocos project will be able to issue
travel grants to participants, up to a maximum of 500 EUR per person.
We do need original cost statements for the EU.

I hope to see many of you in Pisa, with lots of good ideas :-)
