Subject: Orocos

Hi Herman:

I came across the Orocos webpage while doing a survey recently, and
thought you might be interested in some of the stuff we are doing in the
Player/Stage project (http://playerstage.sourceforge.net/). Player is a
networked robot device interface, and Stage is Player-compatible
multi-robot simulator. Both packages are freely available under the GPL
licence, and are now relatively mature.

Some of the technology from this project may be of interest to you,
particulary with respect to device drivers. We have drivers for SICK
scanning laser range finders, Sony PTZ cameras, all of the Pioneer-series
robots from Active-Media, and so on. Hopefully some of this will be
useful.

	Cheers,
		Andrew

P.S. I dont suppose you know were I can get a good open-source *outdoor*
mobile robot simulator, do you?
