In parallel, other European programmes, Member States and regional programmes have also initiated projects and actions. The unit "Technologies and Engineering for Software, Systems and Services" of the Information Society DG, in co-operation with other units of the IST programme, and other programmes of the European Commission is organising a meeting of these projects. The scope of the meeting is to foster collaboration between free / open source software projects in Europe, and to facilitate exchanges in view of free / open source developments in the 6th framework programme. The meeting will take place in Brussels, Centre Borchette, on the 24th of June 2002 in the afternoon. You can see in the annex the draft agenda of the meeting. The meeting will last half a day, with enough time after to have bilateral discussion between all the participants. As the co-ordinator of the project OROCOS, we would like you to present it. The presentation should last 15 minutes, with 5 minutes question-time. Should you be interested to attend the meeting, or to send a representative, and to make a presentation of your project, please inform me by email ([email protected]) not later then the 31st of May as the number of seats are limited. Further information will be sent later. Furthermore, you can inform partners of your projects of the meeting, should they be interested to attend the meeting, ask them to register by the 31st of May.
