---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Wed, 14 May 2003 14:30:15 -0400 (EDT) From: Nicholas Roy <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Cc: [email protected] Subject: Robotics Data Set Repository Hey yinze -- With great pleasure, we'd like to announce that the Robotics Data Set Repository (Radish) is now officially on-line: http://radish.sourceforge.net/ This is an initiative started by Andrew Howard (USC) and myself (Nick Roy) to improve collaboration betweeen robotics researchers. To this end, the Robotics Data Set Repository provides a collection of standard robotics data sets. It includes: * Logs of odometry, laser and sonar data taken from real robots. * Logs of all sorts of sensor data taken from simulated robots. * Environment maps generated by robots. * Environment maps generated by hand (i.e., re-touched floor-plans). By making these data sets available to the community, we aim to facilitate improved evaluation and comparison of robotics algorithms. Researchers are invited to download and make use of the data sets, and, in return, to make their own contributions to the repository. The site is new, so please let us know of any bugs and/or possible improvements. Cheers, Nick & Andrew
