We are currently developing a client/server application
for the remote simulation of telemanipulators which
operate in space (actually, the ISS).

The application exploits an external simulator (Dymosim)
which embeds the Modelica pre-compiled models of the robot
arms and their working cell. The models are built using
Dymola, and Dymosim is run on a server machine.

In the first delivery of our application we plan to allow
the user to simulate the execution one robot arm command
at a time. Depending on the robot model (mechanical chain
+ control system + trajectory generator), the command
shall be given at Cartesian level, or at Joint Space
level. As future extension we plan to allow the user to
simulate the execution of commands given at Action level.

Since the application is explicitly oriented to robotic
arm simulation, at client side we need to build a GUI with
at least the following functionalities:

-Robot model presentation
-Robot command assignment (e.g. via teach pendant
emulation)
-Simulation result virtual presentation

adding themselves to the ones common to simulation
environments (i.e. simulation control, model and
simulation parameters setup, time plots).
