Dear all,

During the last years we developed a software framework for
implementing sensorimotor systems. The software framework
is called "SmartSoft" and has already been used on several
mobile platforms, e.g. RWI B21. Some details can be found
on the following web site:

http://www.faw.uni-ulm.de/deutsch/bereiche/autonomsys/c3-main-e.html

"SmartSoft" is motivated by the idea to provide an easy-to-use
framework to build modularized and distributed robot modules.
The main point is to encapsulate all the communication between
modules and to provide simple object oriented method calls
to get access to other modules.

"SmartSoft" is the basic software framework on which we
build our modules which are organised as a typical three
layer architecture. This work is continuing at our lab.

If somebody is interested in more details I can provide
the "SmartSoft" software manual. Unfortunately the manual
is currently only available in german.
