Another part of the Orocos project has reached a beta version release phase :-) That is, I am proud to announce the "Bayesian FIltering Library" developed by my PhD student Klaas Gadeyne. The BFL fills the "intelligent sensor processing" work package of the Orocos project. It provides a common infrastructure to Bayesian sensor processing algorithms, such as Kalman FIlters (classical, extended, iterated, non-minimal state, ...), particle filters, ... True to our design policy of having modular and decoupled software libraries and components, the BFL is conceived as a fully stand-alone free software project: <http://people.mech.kuleuven.ac.be/~kgadeyne/bfl> For the lucky ones that are at the ICAR conference in Portugal: go and see Klaas' talk. He will show the latest results on applying the "particle filter" parts of BFL to intelligent force controlled manipulation :-) (An update of the web page with these recent results will be done after Klaas returns from the conference.)
