Dear Orocos enthusiasts,


The Orocos project starts officially from September 1st. Therefore, a
kick-off meeting is organised in Leuven (Belgium) On Saturday
September 1st and Sunday, September 2nd.

The (preliminary) agenda of this meeting is:

 1. Introduction of the Orocos project vision
 2. Short introduction of the members
 3. Discussion about the overall vision and tasks
 4. Brainstorming in smaller groups about task details

This agenda is open to amendments. Also, the exact timing will be
decided upon later, once I've received the travel schedules from
participants. Please let me know as soon as possible when you will
come.

Since Orocos is an _open_ project, everybody is welcome. Members of
the EURON network can apply for one of the 15 travel grants of 500
Euro that is available from the Orocos project budget.

The two days after the meeting (Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th), we plan
to organize a hands-on workshop and tutorial on using real-time Linux
for robot control. (Basic concepts, available software patterns,
different forms of IPC, etc.) The major goal is to make your hands
``dirty'' on trying out things yourselfC :-) Send an email to the
