If you're using playerc++ and Stage, you should be able to use SetSpeed(x,y,a). The only difference between omni and diff modes is that omni will respect a speed in the y direction, so if you try SetSpeed(0,1,0) and your robot moves sideways then it's working in omni mode. You do have to make sure your Stage model's drive mode is set to omni as per http://rtv.github.com/Stage/group__model__position.html Rich > -----Original Message----- > From: Lana Eliason [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Thursday, February 10, 2011 8:53 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [Playerstage-developers] Omni drive example > > Hi guys, you've been troopers so far so was hoping I could ask another > question.. > > I've looked everywhere for the documentation on how to code the robots > to move omni-directionally, but I can't find any anywhere...could some > just give me a simple example of how it works? > > Thank you muchly, > > Lana ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The ultimate all-in-one performance toolkit: Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE: Pinpoint memory and threading errors before they happen.
