I have overestimated the Calgary ice quality and especially the high air pr=
essure, resulting in a less accurate time predictions on most distances. Th=
erefor I ended just outside the podium thus not getting into the all time t=
op ten. But wait or next year!=20

Finally, =E2=80=A6 55 years of preparations made a difference. The champagn=
e is on ice.=20
When I listened at the radio reports from Karuizawa 1963, I had no idea tha=
t it would lead to this honour.=20
Family and friends have no idea of what I=E2=80=99m celebrating, in spite o=
f my futile attempts trying to explain it.=20
I would like to thank Lars for keeping this tradition going, and despite so=
me minor errors in the calculations (hopefully no big changes, so that I en=
d up with egg on my face) you are doing a great job.=20
I also want to thank all the skaters who have made the winters bearable for=
 so many years.=20
And of course I like to thank the other predictors. Without you there would=
 be no honour in winning this competition.=20

 all the errors you find.=20
