1. The functionality of our list will remain, which means that mails
sent to thelist will be sent
to the members, so far so good..
2. The archive of this list will disappear, not good?
What was unknown by me before is that theres is a mirror of the group
archive to be
found here:

Problem with that is that mail adresses can be seen for spammers, and
that it doesn't
seem to have been updated since 2 years.
If you can log in with your yahoo account, you are able to download all
the messages
of yahoogroups where you are member of, see the link given in the mail
by yahoo:

I tested this out, after a few days you can download all the messages,
you will get
zip files with mails in mbox format.
