In 1698 Thomas Savery obtained a patent for "Raising Water by the
Impellent Force of Fire"
I found it in a booklet from the Science Museum of London
"The Steam Engine"
It is by no doubt a pistonless pump. Savary`s pump was build 300 years ago.
