Pierce showed some of the National Instrument USB-6008 data acquisition modules he is using for the Ranch system: 8 channels of 12-bit resolution at 10,000 samples per second. These come with open-source drivers and work well with LabView. A version of LabView is available for Linux -- which is handy, since that is what runs the Ranch data acquisition system. **** PROJECTS Composites ---------- Kevin Bollinger Nothing to report Gizmocopter ----------- Sean Lynch Nothing to report KISS ---- Dan Solvin Nothing to report POGO ---- Dave Masten Nothing to report SMARTFLIGHT ----------- Dave Weinshenker Nothing to report Spike ----- Sean Lynch Nothing to report NEW BUSINESS ============ Roger Gregory showed components of his rotary rocket engine.
