Minutes of ERPS General Meeting #313 01 August 2006 The Vice President called the meeting to order at 8:20 PM. Members present by COB were Gerry Nordley, Julie Porter, Dan Solvin, Michael Wallis, David Weinshenker and Chris Winter. Reports and discussion on agenda items were as follows: DOCUMENTATION ------------- Chris Winter Nothing to report INFOTECH -------- Sean Lynch Nothing to report LIAISONS -------- Michael Wallis Gerry advised that there is still time to get involved with Silicon 2006, to be held October 6-8 at the Doubletree Inn, close to San Jose airport. (Full membership $35 until August 3 - see http://www.siliconventions.org/) Michael led a brief discussion regarding outreach to local universities. PUBLIC AFFAIRS -------------- Michael Wallis Nothing to report TREASURER --------- open Nothing to report CHIEF SCIENTIST --------------- Kevin Bollinger Nothing to report FLIGHT CONTROLS --------------- Sean Nichols Nothing to report PROPELLANTS/SPARGER/FF ---------------------- Dan Solvin Nothing to report REGULATORY AFFAIRS ------- Dave Weinshenker Nothing to report SAFETY ------ open Safety is AOK. TESTING ------- Dave Weinshenker Dave W. relayed news from Chuck that he and his were safe. Although it was a near thing, and the ranch was aswarm with fire engines, it was not damaged by the recent conflagration. **** PROJECTS Composites ---------- Kevin Bollinger Nothing to report Gizmocopter ----------- Sean Lynch Nothing to report KISS ---- Dan Solvin Nothing to report POGO ---- Dan Solvin Nothing to report SMARTFLIGHT ----------- Dave Weinshenker Nothing to report Spike ----- Sean Lynch Dan reported on the problem of obtaining 10-inch diameter stainless-steel tubing with 1/8" wall thickness.
