DOD Tests Fuel Cell-Powered Segway,=20

The U.S. Department of Defense's Fuel Cell Test and Evaluation Center
(FCTec) demonstrated a hybrid Segway HT e Series incorporating a 40-cell
700-watt fuel cell from Manhattan Scientifics. The fuel cell uses stored
hydrogen.

Millennium Cell to Continue Working With PSA Peugeot Citroen.

Millennium Cell, Inc. and PSA Peugeot Citroen plan to collaborate on a
second phase of development to enhance the Millennium Cell Hydrogen on
Demand(tm) fuel system in Peugeot's fuel cell concept vehicle H2O, shown
in 2002.  Included in the multi-phase program will be studies of on- and
off-board fuel and borate management based on more concentrated forms of
sodium borohydride fuel followed by a prototype system to validate the
new concepts..

Duke and GM will Jointly Research Fuel Cell Technology.=20

Duke University and General Motors reached an agreement on a multi-year,
interdisciplinary teaching and research project on hydrogen fuel cell
vehicles. GM has given Duke an initial donation of about $500,000 for
the project.

Texaco Ovonic Joins HaveBlue's Team.

Texaco Ovonic Hydrogen Systems LLC will provide the developmental metal
hydride hydrogen storage system for HaveBlue's fuel cell-powered X/V-1
demonstration boat. The X/V-1 is a modified Catalina 42 mk II that will
utilize hydrogen produced through renewable resources to economically

FuelCell Energy to Provide Fuel Cell to SRP.

FuelCell Energy, Inc. will provide and service a 250-kilowatt Direct
FuelCell 300A power plant to Arizona-based Salt River Project (SRP) in
late 2004 or early 2005.  The power plant, which is to be owned and
operated by SRP, will be located at the east campus of Arizona State
University, and will feed into the local SRP electrical grid.

Texas Unveils New Propane Fuel Cell.

Texas state officials showcased a new five-kilowatt propane-powered fuel
cell that will provide supplemental power to a video wall set up by
TransGuide, the San Antonio transportation information system.  The fuel
cell, developed by HyRadix, Inc. and Plug Power, Inc., was installed
with funding from grants through the Department of Energy and the
Propane Education and Research Council.

Sinclair Broadcasting to Evaluate Fuel Cells for News Cameras.

The Sinclair Broadcasting Group plans to evaluate the viability of
powering news cameras with hydrogen fuel cells provided Jadoo Power
Systems, Inc.  Testing will begin next month at Sinclair's CBS
affiliate, KOVR-TV, in Sacramento CA.  Sinclair could potentially begin
utilizing fuel cells at the rest of its television news stations later
this year if testing is successful.

Quantum to Supply Hydrogen Fuel Systems for Asia Buses.

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. has been awarded a
contract from a major transit bus manufacturer in Asia to supply
hydrogen fuel systems for the production of a fleet of fuel cell buses.

Each bus will be equipped with seven Quantum ultra-lightweight composite
TriShield hydrogen tanks, pressure regulators and other associated
hardware, which will all be integrated into a roof-mounted support
structure.

Stuart and Hydrogen Car Company Form Partnership.

Stuart Energy Systems Corporation has formed a strategic partnership
with the Hydrogen Car Company (HCC), which is focused on developing and

Fujitsu Laboratories Develops New Material Technology.

Fujitsu Laboratories, Ltd. has developed a new fuel cell material
technology that enables the use of 30

percent methanol as a fuel source, as well as a prototype power unit
that incorporates the technology.

The technology comprises an aromatic hydrocarbon solid electrolyte
material covered with a high    density of highly active platinum-based
nano-particle catalyst with methanol blocking properties.

Ion and GenCell Sign MOU.

Ion Power, Inc. and GenCell Corporation have signed a memorandum of
understanding (MOU) intended to advance GenCell's development of fuel
cells for stationary, portable and automotive applications.  Under the
terms of the agreement, Ion Power will provide GenCell with membrane
electrode assemblies (MEAs) for the testing and optimization of
GenCell's proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) product line.

U.S. and Japan to Cooperate on Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Research.

U.S. Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham signed an agreement with Goji
Sakamoto - Japan's senior vice minister of economy, trade and industry -
for the two countries to work together on the development of hydrogen
and fuel cell technologies. The United States and Japan intend to
exchange experts and share information on current policies,
technological programs, and developments in fuel cells and hydrogen
production, storage, and transport technologies.

Texas A&M Forms Fuel Cell Power Systems Laboratory.

The Department of Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University has
formed a Fuel Cell Power Systems Laboratory to provide state of the art

Kettering University Receives Grant for Fuel Cell Systems Center.

Kettering University has received a $1.8 million construction grant
award from the Economic Development Administration for a new Center for
Fuel Cell Systems and Powertrain Integration. The new center will be
powered by a 200-kW stationary fuel cell and will provide research and
office space for up to eight start-up businesses in its business
incubator.
