Ballard Fuel Cell Buses Enter Service in Beijing.

Ballard Power Systems and DaimlerChrysler have launched three
Mercedes-Benz Citaro fuel cell buses in Beijing, China.  The buses,
powered with Ballard(r) heavy-duty fuel cell engines, will enter revenue
service in the city as part of a two-year demonstration project being
led by the Chinese Ministry of Science & Technology, with support from
both the Global Environment Facility and the United Nations Development
Program.

GM Rolls out HydroGen 3 in Korea.

GM used a HydroGen3 fuel cell vehicle to shuttle global political and
business leaders attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC)
summit meeting in Korea, making it the first fuel cell vehicle used
publicly in Korea.  GM also announced that with the proper policy and
infrastructure environment, this could lead to a future demonstration
fleet of fuel cell vehicles for the Korean market.

SunLine Showcases New Fuel Cell Bus.

SunLine Transit Agency unveiled a new commercial fuel cell-powered bus
at the 2005 Fuel Cell Seminar in Palm Springs, California, that features
a hybrid electric drive system with a UTC Power PureMotion(tm) 120 fuel
cell system.  The 40-foot Van Hool Hydrogen A330 bus is capable of
reaching speeds of up to 65 miles per hour and traveling 250 to 300
miles before requiring refueling.

Masterflex Receives First Order for Fuel Cell Bicycles.

Masterflex AG is supplying the world's first fleet of fuel cell bicycles
to the city of Herten in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.  The fuel cell
bicycles will be incorporated into the overall tourism concept of the
district of Recklinghausen and Ruhr-Touristik GmbH.  Day trips for
tourists should be available in time for the 2006 World Cup.

Hyundai Kia Opens New R&D Center in Korea.

Hyundai Kia Automotive Group recently opened a US$58-million research
and development (R&D) facility in Seoul, Korea that will support the
company's efforts to develop, test and mass produce fuel cell vehicles.
Facilities include a 700-bar hydrogen filling station, a fuel cell
endurance tester, an emissions lab, dynamometers and other specialized
equipment for testing electric propulsion systems.

Hydrogenics Completes Forklift Field Trials at GM and FedEx.

Hydrogenics Corporation has completed forklift field trials at GM and
FedEx Canada's 'mission critical' logistics hub at Toronto International
Airport.  Hydrogenics designed, built and integrated fuel cell hybrid
power packs into two Hyster Class forklifts which were placed into
service at the two facilities.  In addition, Hydrogenics designed and
built an indoor, PEM electrolyzer hydrogen refueler that was used to
refuel the forklifts during the deployments.

Fuel Cells 2000 has developed the first-of-its-kind searchable database
of worldwide stationary fuel cell installations.  The database
catalogues installations around the globe - past, present and planned.
The easy-to-use MySQL database allows users to search by a variety of
fields to find exactly what they are looking for.  There are basic
search fields as well as an advanced search feature that allows multiple
sorting by manufacturer, city, state, country, fuel cell type, power

Helion Develops Fuel Cell Back-up System.

Helion has developed a 20 kW fuel cell-based electrical back-up system,
the SYSPAC(r).  In 2006, Helion plans to demonstrate the PEM fuel cell

BPA Installs ReliOn Fuel Cell at Tri-Met Garage.

Bonneville Power Administration has installed a 1-kW ReliOn Independence
1000 fuel cell at TriMet's LIFT facility at Powell Garage in Portland,
Oregon.  The hydrogen fuel cell will provide backup power to keep

Honda and Plug Power Introduce HES III.

Honda R&D Americas, Inc., in conjunction with technology partner Plug
Power Inc., introduced the Home Energy Station III, which provides heat
and electricity for the home as well as fuel for a hydrogen-powered fuel
cell vehicle. This third generation unit, located at the company's North
American headquarters in Torrance, California, is more compact and
efficient than previous Home Energy Station models.  The Home Energy
Station III uses natural gas as its base energy source and is able to
supply enough hydrogen to power a fuel cell vehicle, such as the Honda
FCX, for daily operation while providing electricity for an

QuestAir Receives Funding from ExxonMobil.

QuestAir Technologies Inc. has received a US$1.2 million engineering
services contract from ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company
(EMRE) to support the development of an on-board hydrogen generator for

Quantum Receives Additional Order from U.S. Army.

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc., has received a
contract from the U.S. Army's National Automotive Center (NAC) for an
additional HyHauler Plus(tm) transportable hydrogen refueling station.
The Quantum manufactured HyHauler Plus(tm) is a large trailer-mounted
hydrogen fuel dispensing system, specifically designed to provide fast
fills in less than 3 minutes. The HyHauler Plus(tm) utilizes an on-board
electrolyzer to generate hydrogen from water and electricity.

Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (CFCL) has formed an alliance with Precision
Flow Technologies to manufacture and market solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC)

DuPont Selected for Defense Acquisition Challenge Program.

DuPont Fuel Cells has been selected for the Office of the Secretary of
Defense's Defense Acquisition Challenge Program (DACP), which was
established to provide opportunities for the increased introduction of
innovative and cost-saving technologies, products, or processes into
existing Department of Defense (DOD) acquisition programs.  DuPont Fuel
Cells was selected based on its 'Soldier Power' proposal, which detailed
how new fuel cell technology could enable the Land Warrior and Ground

BTU and BU to Work Together on SOFCs.

BTU International, Inc. has signed a license and joint development
agreement with Boston University, focused on improving processes used to
manufacture solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC).  The technology is applicable
to both high-temperature and intermediate-temperature material systems.
The development program will be conducted in BU's Manufacturing
Engineering Department.

PFCE Enters Agreement with Bourns.

Pacific Fuel Cell Corporation (PFCE) has entered into an agreement with
Bourns, Inc. to attempt to scale-up PFCE's new process for making
electro-catalyst and nanoMEA products to commercial scale.  Each party
at its own expense will contribute equipment, personnel and technical
expertise to the collaborative effort. The initial development
activities are expected to take about two months to complete.
