A so far unknown mechanism plays a part in superconductivity of certain 
metals

In experiments with CeCu2Si2 single crystals, scientists have now 
discovered important indications that the superconductivity could be 
based on two different, purely electronic coupling mechanisms.

demonstrated spontaneous emission in the wave length range of 1.5 
micrometres during optical pumping.
