yes! and then again if a person commits to a community IN SPITE of some
discomfort, as a member one gets to influence & change some things. Sort of
depends how basic & pervasive,("heavy?") the issues are, I guess. Also as a
member YOU will change over time anyway and perhaps like quite different
things than when you started out. So the challenge arises. I have seen so
many people looking for just the right community, & remaining outside when
they could just as well be inside working, growing, contributing to change.
Its really like a job or even a marriage isn't it? No guarantees go with
the territory.
