Well, some "leaders" are not very appetizing either... :-o

And - if we learn to lead ourselves from within, we are less likely to seek
("need") external leadership.  If we give ourselves (and our communities of
whatever kind) adequate structure and nurture, we won't be so much looking for
it from someone/somewhere else.  Especially the less appetizing kind.
Then there is little or no void to fill, so nothing less appetizing need fill it.
