This is true, Forest, but I was seeing too much of one and nothing of the 
other.

NTM: It seemed more about what can't be done that can/do stuff.  I see it as
playing right into governmental and corporate agendas ....to make us feel 
helpless.

Ever seen this?

In the end, I don't think that so much of this applies to this listgroup but 
everytime I hear
about not being able to affect corporations and government, I think of the 
above piece.

I merely think that the consensus should be forward looking/moving....I'm 
not so interested in
the particulars.
