have you seen the recent pbs special on the cascade range as being a very
active volcano and earthquake zone, which has a major earthquake above 9.0
every 500 years observable in the layers of rock there.....it has apparently
happened in predictible ways several times in history and is somewhat due
for one at this time, something to consider perhaps if moving to that
region, tho every region has it risks no doubt...aloha,
