I'm not sure, maybe EOL issues?  What is in the .err files (they should
contain the diff).

*sigh*, looks like sleep was removed from mingw, according to this at
least:

and needs to be replaced with Sleep.  I don't have a windows box in
front of me at the moment, but I can patch the source when I have such
access.
