(Not that there's many people on this list, but since we starting talking I
might as well detail what is going on docbook2X development.)

Basically 0.8.3 uses Perl SAX2 rather than SAX1.
Yup, this means dependencies have changes. See INSTALL
(which I will commit right away) for details.

I made this change so that I can (or so I thought, anyway) port
docbook2X to Cygwin without having to install the XML::Parser module
(SAX2 comes with a pure Perl parser as well.)

But there seems to be some bug in Cygwin (using the SAX2 and the
XML::SAX::PurePerl parser) that makes docbook2X hang when creating man pages
out of its own documentation, and produce incorrect output on some other man
pages I tried. There is also whitespace issues with the Texinfo output, but
that seems to me a docbook2X bug that just isn't triggered on Unix / Expat.

I also have successfully built docbook2X 0.8.3 on FreeBSD without any manual
interventions.

Now, Mr. Smith (or スミスさん ? :) has got docbook2X 0.8.2 working on Cygwin?
Did you have to build Expat yourself and then XML::Parser, or ?

Finally, as for the segfault under Debian testing: well, I am still running
Debian stable. I am on dial-up, so I have to wait until next week where I
can download testing at work and check it out.
