Namespaced attributes, hmm...that gives me an idea. Our schema is
already a DocBook variant, so I have some flexibility.

Good point--xpath would leave the power users wanting more and the naïve
users confused. Make it to a Kerbey Lane and lunch is on me!

This all gives me a couple of viable ideas to propose. I'll see which
one the authors in question like.
