Hi,
I've used Paligo while working for my current and past two companies. If yo=
u search the=C2=A0https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/docbook-apps/=C2=A0=
distribution list, you'll see that Paligo has been around for a while.=C2=
=A0
To learn more about their DocBook implementation, see their help:=C2=A0http=
s://paligo.net/docs/en/basic-element-reference.html=C2=A0
I think Paligo is a good choice for smaller documentation groups because it=
is reasonably priced, manages many operational tasks, and their support is=
good. Its layout features are quite configurable. Writers who are not yet =
familiar with DocBook can use the content editor. Paligo's "Source Code" ed=
itor lets you work in plain text. They have an oXygen integration for more =
advanced tasks:=C2=A0https://paligo.net/docs/en/the-oxygen-xml-editor.html=
=C2=A0
As with any service, they have some limitations. For example, branching at =
the topic level can get quite labor-intensive if you have to branch an enti=
re publication. Most documentation projects don't require that but there ar=
e days when I really miss git.
