Hei Günter

the option is here to become default ... maybe

the macros UR/UE and MT/ME are in man-macros since years
but the macros changed to produce OSC8 statements which offer opening the
link in terminals supporting this
but on my ubuntu 2404 it did not work easily so i choose text output for
the previous release
and plan to use text output as default for next release ...

it is still in progress, but as the default output did is still text i do
it piecewise

macro-references / text-references is fine for me.

thanks for your work
