Generally, the parser(s) can be configured via Docutils [configuration files](https://docutils.sourceforge.io/docs/user/config.html#configuration-files).¹
This also holds for the 3rd-party MyST parser. (See the output of, e.g., `myst-docutils-html5 --help` or https://myst-parser.readthedocs.io/en/latest/configuration.html#sphinx-config-options for available options.)

¹ Sphinx reads a `docutils.conf` configuration file, if it is present in the [configuration](https://www.sphinx-doc.org/en/master/usage/configuration.html) directory.

See this bug report: https://github.com/executablebooks/MyST-NB/issues/471

Is there a way to configure the parser when using include? I checked here but could not see anything that might help: https://docutils.sourceforge.io/docs/ref/rst/directives.html#include
