Hi David, one quick question: you mention in the installation instructions (install.html) that Debian users should configure the packages using ./configure --prefix=/usr. Is this indeed the intended location for non-packaged software? I'm only a part-time Debian user, but I was under the impression that /usr holds the packaged stuff, whereas /usr/local holds your own builds. Is there an official Debian policy in place for this issue? regards, Markus -- Markus Hoenicka [email protected] (Spam-protected email: replace the quadrupeds with "mhoenicka") http://www.mhoenicka.de ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Power Architecture Resource Center: Free content, downloads, discussions, and more. http://solutions.newsforge.com/ibmarch.tmpl
