Actually, it is possible to adjust the database name via passing the name to the configure script:

./configure --with-main-db=<name>

That's quite a improvement, but it'll be nice to be fully independant of the building process, especially while a user will get the refdb package in a pre-built form (be it a rpm, deb, binary, ...).

Could the database name be configurable please ?

I could imagine a situation where you have two different databases or only one. In this situation, one could easily use both variable names:

styles-db-name=<db1> (default refdb)
references-db-name=<db2> (default ?)

When you have only one db available, then db1==db2
