This problem seems to be fixed now (Mon Oct 15 10:44:42 UTC 2007). I'm  
still waiting for the other stuff to be fixed.

BTW if you can live without proper umlauts and such, you can of course  
use the MEDLINE format instead of the XML format for the time being.  
This format appears to be ok for now. Just remember to use med2ris -T  
tag to convert the tagged format.
