The problem with this approach in life sciences is that most original  
datasets (e.g. Pubmed) record only the affiliation of the first  
author. You would miss all items that originate from somewhere else  
but are co-authored by members of your institute not because RIS  
semantics are limited, but because these data are usually not  
available. You'd have to manually add affiliations for co-authors  
which is about as cumbersome as using one of the suggested hacks. BTW  
I'd favour your (Bruce) suggestion to add a custom keyword.
