compile error

Hi! I have have a error when I run make on SuSE 9.2:
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-suse-linux/3.3.4/../../../../i586-suse-linux/bin/ld:
cannot find -lssl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [libr.la] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory
