I agree with you, @hand should be available in postscript (as it is
already in opener, closer and div). Perhaps we should open an issue on
GitHub for that?

As a workaround you could consider to use <note> instead of
<postscript>. It is, of course, a slightly different meaning but would
perhaps fit the text phenomenon as well. Another approach would be to
use multiple <div type="writingSession"> elements for the different
writing sessions, here is @hand also available. In the latter case, it
is necessary to wrap also the "main letter" (i.e. the text before the
postscript) in a div, because the preceding/following siblings of an
element <div> have to be <div>s too.
