Jeff Skarzynski created BATIK-1213:
--------------------------------------

Summary: text-decoration overline not aligned correctly on PDF outputs
                 Key: BATIK-1213
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BATIK-1213
             Project: Batik
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: SVG Rasterizer
    Affects Versions: 1.9, trunk
Environment: Windows 7, Java RE 9.0.1
            Reporter: Jeff Skarzynski
         Attachments: test-output-1.7.1.pdf, test-output-1.7.1.png, test-output-1.9.pdf, test-output-1.9.png, test_text_decorations.svg

Since 1.9, it appears that PDF outputs from Rasterizer do not properly align text-decoration overlines.  In 1.7.1 text decorations appear to align properly, however the font is rendered as paths as opposed to converted to text (as in 1.9).  Also verified this is an issue on trunk as well.

I'm trying to preserve the text as selectable as in the original source SVG but have the text decoration aligned correctly.

See test input file, output pdf using 1.9, output using 1.7.1, and output png in 1.7.1/1.9.
