Re: Export Control Data for your product

As an open-source product not including any form of encryption, I
believe Batik cannot be classified under ECCN 5D002, and is thus
covered under §734.3(b)(3) of the law - meaning that it is not subject
to the EAR.

Please note that I am not a lawyer, nor an official representative of
Apache; I am simply an interested user wishing to inform you of the
law as I understand it to apply to open-source projects.
