SVG Drawing capabilities in Batik

Hi,

I want to provide drawing functionality (Create, edit shapes such as
circle, rectangle, line etc.) in my application using Batik. Is there any
support for drawing on the JSVGCanvas?
OR should we implement our own drawing layer using Batik?

Any pointers on the same is appreciated.
