A rotation can also cause the image to be cut off. If the coordinates of your drawing-object are all in positive value then it could be the insets: frame-lines etc. (For me, was the case that a shape object had minus coordinates, that was not in batik but by a Glyph Vector-java.awt.font) greetings, max
