It is sad, to let such a powerful project die. Having said that, we are usi= ng it still in production and trying to apply security patches on our own f= ork to make it compatible with newer versions of spring and java. If the project would continue on github, I can just stress again that I wou= ld be very happy to participate and share all our patches. Anyway, thank you all for your effort and maybe someone should try to just = quickly describe what it practically means for cocoon. (documentation, souc= ecode, releases, jira project) There is a page describing the general process https://attic.apache.org/#:~:text=3DThe%20Apache%20Attic%20was%20created,At= tic%20Project%20%5B...%5D Thanks Gabriel ________________________________ From: Rich Bowen <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, September 10, 2024 7:04:47 PM To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [RESULT] [VOTE] Move Apache Cocoon into the Apache Attic On 2024/08/29 15:12:33 C=E9dric Damioli wrote: > Hi Chris, > > I saw in the last board's meeting notes than Rich wanted to pursue > another roll call. The vote for at= tic seems to be pretty definitive, and I don't wish to interfere with the w= ill of the project. I'd only ask that you be sure to announce it loudly on = your dev/user lists, so that it doesn't come as a surprise. --Rich --_000_AS2PR02MB9656A4E7AEA520F20E01F0979F9B2AS2PR02MB9656eurp_ Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html> <head> <meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-= 1"> </head> <body> <div dir=3D"auto">Hello,</div> <div dir=3D"auto"><br> </div> <div dir=3D"auto">first of all thanks to Chris and his honesty to declare t= hat the needed power and energy is just not enough to continue with the pro= ject.</div> <div dir=3D"auto"><br> </div> <div dir=3D"auto">It is sad, to let such a powerful project die.
