I noticed the template does not have the HTML namespace:

<html xmlns:ft="http://apache.org/cocoon/forms/1.0#template"
  xmlns:fi="http://apache.org/cocoon/forms/1.0#instance"
  xmlns:jx="http://apache.org/cocoon/templates/jx/1.0">

Is this intended or an error? I am doing things slightly differently (not using blocks), and I would get NullPointer Exceptions until I put the namespace in.
