Well, a couple of days of no reply isn't that big a window, especially 
considering this is a fairly low-traffic list currently.  You could try 
asking on the [email protected] list as well to get a wider audience.

A C++ implementation certainly sounds like a good idea.  I think having a 
standardized, heavy-duty resolver functionality is something that will 
become more popular as people get even more experience building XML 
applications.
