xml-apis.jar, what is the "latest" version?

Hi,
we bundle xml-apis.jar with Ant and our 1.6beta2 includes the version
of 1.0b2 from winter 2002. We also bundle xercesImpl.jar from
Xerces-J 2.5.0.
One of our users no complains that this is an old and outdated version
- and in fact, Xerces-J seems to come with a newer one.
Which one is the "official" latest version? What would you advice Ant
to ship?
