Hi Craig,

Occasionally the exist-db.org server experiences heavy load and becomes
unavailable for a short time. We have a monitoring service that reports
such outages and their resolutions. (I believe the one you experienced has
now been resolved.) Outages are sent to the eXist-db.org Slack's
#integrations channel.

The monitoring service provides a public status page that you can check if
you're ever wondering the current status:
