Initial Comment:
expat.h contains:
#ifdef __cplusplus
 }
#endif

and expat_external.h contains:
#ifdef __cplusplus
 extern "C" {
#endif

Each file should both open and close these blocks. 
There are some cases where only expat_external.h is
included in the expat sources.

Fixed in revisions expat.h 1.71 and expat_external.h 1.2.

Needs testing of C++ compilation. Already checked
in a few fixes when doing so under MS VC++ 6.0.
